How to Prepare Moringa Salad (Kwadon Zogale)

Introduction:

A simple dish well-known in northern Nigeria is zogale salad, sometimes referred to as moringa salad. It can be served as a cold starter with dishes like Kwadon Kabeji, Kwadon Rama, Kwadon Lettuce, and others, or as a side dish for other dishes like Jollof rice, fried rice, and spaghetti jollof. I’ll be showing you how to prepare zogale salad in this article.

The numerous health advantages of this meal make it worthwhile to prepare at home.

Zogale Salad Making Ingredients:

  • Moringa leaves in a bunch (zogale)
  • Powdered groundnuts (garin kuli)
  • Seasonings
  • tomato fresh
  • onion green pepper
  • spiced pepper
  • Cucumber
  • Add a little salt

Steps to Prepare Zogale Salad:

STEP 1: Pick some moringa leaves (ganyen zogale) and wash them using simply water in the first step.

STEP 2: Place the cooking pot over medium heat, add the washed leaves, and then add the water.

STEP 3: is to cover the pot and boil it for 20 minutes.

Step 4: is washing the cucumber, tomatoes, green peppers, and onions. Slice or cut them into the desired shapes, then set aside.

STEP 5: Strain the cooked moringa leaves in a sieve or basket to remove the excess water.

STEP 6: is to combine the cooked leaves with the kuli kuli powder, ground pepper, seasoning cube, and a dash of salt in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.

STEP 7: After that, stir the bowl vigorously once more before adding the thinly sliced tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and green peppers.

STEP 8: serve and prepare your zogale salat.
